Where can I buy groceries in Whistler?

Whistler is home to a number of grocery stores to accommodate different neighbourhoods throughout the area. The closest grocery stores to our staff housing accommodation and hotel are Fresh street Market and The Grocery Store in Whistler Village. Click here to explore more of Whistlers town amenities.

At this time, a number of local grocery stores are offering delivery service within the Whistler area, including Fresh Street Market, Nesters Market, and Walmart - located in Squamish.

Are pets allowed?

Pets of any kind are not permitted in Fairmont Chateau Whistler’s staff accommodation. This includes fish, birds, reptiles, dogs, etc.

Are there many things to do on your days off?

Are ski passes free for employees?

A subsidized seasons ski pass is available to full-time employees through our yearly employee Wellness Benefit. For more information, please visit our Employee Perks page.

What banking options are available?

A number of banking options are available in Whistler, including TD Canada trust, CIBC and RBC Royal Bank in Whistler Village, as well as Scotiabank in Creekside Village.

Are staff meals available?

Yes! One meal per working day is offered in Oscars, our staff cafeteria, located inside the hotel.

Can guests stay with me in staff housing?

A maximum occupancy of the unit is 6 guests at all times, all visitors must be registered with the housing office.

Do I need to bring pots, pans, TV, etc. to staff housing?

Each unit comes fully furnished including a TV in the main living area, as well as kitchen amenities (e.g. kettles, toasters, cutlery, pots, pans, glassware and plateware). Linen packages are also available upon arrival for $35.
